Why Partner with Us?

With over 35 years of experience, Spine and Joint Institute of Milwaukee's team of medical professionals is dedicated to providing patients with exceptional care and thorough documentation of their injuries, treatment, and progress to build a strong Permanent Partial Disability (PPD) rating that cannot be disputed. Dr. Kelly is well-versed at helping build strong workers’ compensation cases with comprehensive medical records and appropriate treatments.

Dr. Kelly avails himself for court appearances if personal testimony is needed or necessary. The 16B final report and a detailed final report is always provided to the applicant’s attorney at the end of the case and should suffice so court appearance isn't necessary. Occasionally, further extended work must be met. Dr. Kelly can and will, at the pleasure of the patient’s attorney, provide a rebuttal to IME, IMR reports, or provide further reporting on anything that is case-related. This may be an explanation of treatment, further understanding and description of a history taking or a PPD rating given. This can be done and completed and turned in with a supplemental 16B form in lieu of testimony in court.

Wouldn't you rather have a doctor on your side who is experienced and well-seasoned in the field of worker's compensation?

Accepting All Cases

If you are looking for a trusted practice to send your clients to but cannot find a place to send them because no one will take their denied case, look no further. At Spine and Joint Institute of Milwaukee, we accept denied workers’ compensation cases.

  • If your client’s case was denied due to an IME or an IMR, we will treat them.
  • If the case has merit and you have officially signed them up and investigated the claim, we can take that case.
  • If you are unsure about the case and desire us to do the pre-investigative work, we will investigate the claim and take care of the client.
  • If the case is legitimate and not fraudulent, we will immediately send them back to your firm along with our detailed investigative report of the mechanics of their injury, a detailed history of the claim and injury and finally, what we found in the examination and whether or not we believe there will be a PPD rating.

In most circumstances, we will be able to see and treat your client from start to finish. Whether it is a simple sprain and strain, a bone fracture or an injury that requires surgery, we will take care of them and ensure they get the highest PPD rating they deserve.

After our own investigative measures and completing a thorough initial history and exam and discussing the details of your client’s injury and job description, we will quickly determine if the job injury has merit. From there, we immediately get them scheduled for treatment. Depending on their injuries and what types of treatment parameters are needed, we engage them into a detailed, comprehensive and individualized treatment plan. All appropriate reports and paperwork are then filed with the insurance company. Our services, including MRI, CT scans, NCV/EMG, X-Ray, ESI injections, Spinal stimulators, Prescription medications, Occupational physical therapy, Chiropractic services and Surgery when required, do not stop just because the insurance company denies the claim. The law is very clear and that is justice for all injured workers, with reasonable treatment and a fair and reasonable PPD rating at the end for their future medical care once their case is closed.

Building Strong Cases Together

We understand the significance of a Permanent Partial Disability (PPD) rating in strengthening workers' compensation claims. That is why it is so important to work with a facility that understands how to document the case with objective evidence and proper diagnostic tools that present the tangible evidence needed to prove the PPD rating and the injury. Dr. Kelly has almost 40 years’ experience with injured workers. As a QME, (Qualified Medical Examiner), working for nearly 20 years in California allowed him his initiatory stature into the world of Worker's Compensation. Now he has dedicated his career to the injured workers of Wisconsin.

"The PPD rating is a tricky matter and must be taken very serious as the future benefits of the patient are at stake."  -Dr. Kelly

Dr. Kelly takes time to discuss PPD ratings in meticulous detail with each and every one of his injured worker patients.

The rating for the most part, is taken right out of the Disability Guide Handbook for PPD ratings. However, there is a gray area where the experience of the doctor is necessary to capture the most beneficial rating for the patient. This is why you need a seasoned and experienced doctor. By partnering with us, you can ensure your clients receive the highest PPD rating they deserve, along with a comprehensive care package that they need to build a robust workers’ compensation case together.
